Crazy Week

Monday my sister went into labor and Jayisha was born at 6:48pm weighing 7lbs 8ounces and was 18.5 inches long.  Jayisha is such a cute baby. She was considered to be premature and has immature lungs so she is in NICU getting help with her lungs.

Today, Thursday, was a great day. Yesterday we were called about finalizing the adoption of our two other kids that moved in. So today at 2:45pm we went to Indianapolis and had our adoption hearing for Skyler and Kenzi. They are now our kids and have been welcomed into the family. It was a fantastic day!

Tomorrow I will be registering my daughter for kindergarten. It will be a new experience and will be fantastic once she starts. Hopefully she loves it!

Summer of 2012 so far

all my kids

Well, it has been a long time since I have actually posted anything. I don't remember the last time, but know that I have a lot more to share. I know that I posted about the two new kids in my last post. They moved in with us in December 2011 and shared Christmas with us. We have been very involved and been doing a lot together.  The oldest boy is a great students and does a lot to help out around the house. He has started making some good friends and has started to feel like he belongs. He also has his first crush!

Let's
New Playset with my niece and two kids!
Since February we have bought a swing set for the three little ones, in June we finally got our fence put up, a patio down, and finally had the swing set installed. The kids love having the area in the back for them to play without having to worry about going outside only when mom and dad are going outside. The whole month of June I was teaching summer school and made good money. Jarred did some substituting for summer school. We have some great plans for this month of July so that the kids can actually have some fun. We are holding a rummage sale and have so much stuff for it that I just don't know what to do with all of it. Then at the beginning of next week we are heading off to the hotel water park where we are spending two nights. On Monday we are hopefully going to be enjoying Connor Prairie and on Tuesday the Zoo. This week we did go to the Children's Museum and have some fun. We have actually started doing stuff for the summer. Soon we will be heading to Fort Wayne to spend some time with our family there.

We have also got to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary.  The oldest boy just turned 13 years old on July 1st and we had a swimming party for him. I think he ended up having a fantastic time and everyone that came seemed to enjoy it also. Thanks for coming and helping us to celebrate his birthday. Jarred and I also celebrated our anniversary which was on July 1st. To celebrate both his birthday and our anniversary we went out to eat at Olive Garden on the way home from Anderson. We had a great dinner.

Hopefully this post updates you a little about what we have been up too. The last thing I would like to let everyone know is that the two who moved in with us should be adopted within the next two weeks. We are excited about this and ready to finally have them as our own.

How things change!

Well there are six of us now, we have a lot of fun. We were just on spring break, but we didn't do much at all. On Tuesday we did go see a lawyer and start the adoption process for S and K. We even got to go ahead and sign the petition for adoption, which was really fast considering we didn't get that for at least four months after starting with Devin and Landon. Jarred and I were also able to have a date night. We went and ate at Spageddies with Allie and then Jarred and I went to see The Hunger Games. It was a great time.

The end of our spring break was crazy. We went to see Yogi Bear on Saturday morning. Afterwards we decided to go to the park. We were there for about ten minutes and then had to go to ER because Landon's foot got stuck in the slide. He ended up having a hairline fracture in his leg.

Jarred and I have been working with Devin on riding a bike. We have a little red bike that he has been using and we started working with him on Saturday afternoon. He was able to catch on and we would push him a little. He would then pedal for a little bit but fall after a few minutes.  On Sunday we worked for a little longer and Devin finally caught on. Jarred was working with him at that time and it was neat to see. I then started working with him and teaching him how to do it on his own. I showed him how to put one pedal down and push with his other foot. He then he started pedaling on his own. It was so neat to see. Today I was working with him again and he was actually able to ride for a while.

Today I took Landon to the doctor to get his cast. Out of all of the colors he chose red. Today was also the first day back after spring break, but I wasn't able to go because of taking Landon to the doctor. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day.

Well I guess I have updated everyone enough for today. Write to you later!

Crazy Times!?!

Well, as you all know from my last post our family has grown quickly. It started with just the "two of us" then went to four and now there are six. We will have two others adopted hopefully by June. We now have a family with a 3 year old, 4 year old boy, 4 year old girl, and a 12 year old. It is absolutely nuts in the Jagger household.

This weekend on Friday February 3rd Jarred and I went to my mom and dads house in Anderson. We stayed there Friday night and drove to Frankfort on Saturday in order to go to the basketball game.  On Friday my lovely parents watched the four kids so that Jarred and I could go to dinner. While we were gone my mom decided to play pretend with the girls. My sister has a step-daughter and then she played with my daughter also. The girls were feeding her ice cream. They went through all of the flavors before my mom finally told them she liked one. She liked the chocolate ice cream!

Landon was listening to all of this and went over to play with them. He took a spoon but nothing else. He took the spoon to my mom and asked her to eat the chocolate ice cream. She pretended to eat it. He then stuck the spoon behind is back, she thought, and brought it back out with more "chocolate ice cream." Once that was done he did it one more time, but this time my mom paid more attention to him. He stuck it behind his back, pretended to wipe his butt with it, and then held it out for my mom as chocolate ice cream. She was so shocked! She asked him what he was feeding her and Landon said "It poop, but it is chocolate!" WOW, kids really do say the craziest things!

From 2 to 4

Our lives have gotten a little more crazy recently. As all of you know, Jarred and I had two little boys move in with us in March in order to adopt them. We have finally got that adoption finalized and now Landon and Devin are officially our boys. The adoption was finalized on December 19th!

Back on September 19th, Jarred and I were called about possibly getting two more kids. One is a 12 year old boy, S, and a four year old little girl, K. We didn't know much after that initial call so we didn't talk much about them. Then in October we were called and officially asked about fostering to adopt the two kids. Jarred and I took some time to think about it, but eventually we decided that we would try it and see how it worked with our family.  On December 13th, S was able to move in with us and started school in our school district. His sister moved in on December 16th. Before they moved in we got to spend every weekend with S and one weekend with both of them. They get along really well with the boys and they are such a great addition to our family. It is a crazy thing to go from 0 to 4 kids in one year.

Our Christmas this year was so much different then what it has been. I really liked having kids to buy for and especially little kids. It was neat to wake up and open presents with them. We did have a crazy time for this holiday break though. We went to Jarreds parents to have Christmas on the 23rd and Christmas Eve with his extended Jagger side. Then after the Christmas Eve dinner we drove home so that our kids could wake up at home on Christmas Day. Before going to bed the kids got to here The Night Before Christmas story on the iPad. We woke up on Christmas Day and read the bible Christmas story. Then we had the kids go downstairs and sit on the couch while we made cocoa and toast for breakfast. They all really loved having it. Then they were able to open their stockings and presents. After all presents were opened and we were ready we drove to Anderson in order to spend time with my family. Before leaving for Anderson I got a text from my oldest sister Daisha, she got engaged! We stayed in Anderson for two nights. It has been a great Christmas this year. Now we are getting ready for Landon's birthday party which is in four days.

Fall

We have had so much fun this fall. We have been to may football games and to the park a lot also. This weekend Jarred and I took the boys to Exploration Acres in Lafayette, Indiana. This place if very kids friendly and have so much going on. Great entrance fee compared to everything they have for kids to do. The boys got to play in hay, play on a teeter toter, play on tricycles, peddle bikes, duck race, and hay maze. Then we took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch where we let the boys pick their own pumpkin. They had a lot of fun!

We have also been to the park a lot lately. Last week I took the boys to the park and we had a picnic dinner and then got to play for a while. They loved it! Hopefully the fall will continue to be fun. Jarred and I have some flowers to plant and should get doing that soon. Otherwise we will be doing it when it is super cold. YUCK!

Crazy Times

On Tuesday September 6th I started new charts with the boys. They are working on collecting stickers each week and then at the end of the week if they have 5-7 stickers they get to do something that they chose. D did okay for one of them until Sunday, but L did really good with them. He gets to go play at the park soon. Hopefully they will both get to understanding the charts a little more and they will do a lot better throughout the week now.

Well this weekend was jammed packed with things that we were doing. Friday night Jarred had to work the gate for the football game so we went to the game until half time and then we left and started our drive up to South Whitley, IN. We were driving there so that on Saturday morning we could go to the Fort Wayne Zoo with Jarred's family. We got to his parents house around 10pm and the boys were asleep so we took them down to their bed while we stayed up and talked to his parents.  We got up on Saturday morning around 6:45 and by 7:20am we were on our way to Fort Wayne to eat at Cosmos. They have good breakfast foods and both of the boys ate A LOT of food. We left there and headed to the zoo, arriving there at 9:48am (according to the zoo receipt). We walked around most, if not all of the zoo, leaving around 12:45 or so. We had a lot of fun and the boys seemed to have fun. We then went to eat lunch at Hall's restaurant. It was really good and the boys ate A LOT again. Jarred and I were originally going to stay around until dinner time to go eat at Oriental Buffet, but we decided to go ahead and leave. We left and headed to my parents house, half way point, and stayed there for dinner. We left after dinner and came home.

This morning I had to get up and head to Frankfort for the freshman class float decorating. Before leaving I had to talk with D about poop that was all over the bathroom. Jarred said he found some on the toilet, that makes since because of getting off, but there was some on the tub also. D wouldn't tell me anything and I had to leave. When I got back Jarred told me later that D told him he wiped it on the side of the tub. We had dinner and I was taking him up for bed and making L use the toilet and found that there was poop smeared all over the floor in the bathroom also. This means that D was playing in his poop. YUCK! Hopefully he doesn't do that again. Now Jarred and I are going to relax before we go to bed in an hour or so.
